Race Entrants

OVERVIEW & IMPORTANT TO NOTE!

LIMITATION OF ENTRIES

The starting field will be limited to thirty-five (35) solo entries. Entry will be by invitation only. *Relay teams may be allowed only if solo entries do not take all 35 entry slots by the Invitation Acceptance date of April 1st.

QUALIFICATION FOR ENTRY

The selection of invitees will be based upon the experience and other qualifications and criteria of each applicant. At a minimum it is expected that the applicant will have completed at least one iron distance race within the previous 18 months of the event being applied for. Other ultra distance events are also considered a qualifier assuming they have distances equal to or better than iron distances. Other solo ultra distance vents are considered if it is deemed they require the planning and training that would be of benefit to the athlete doing Ultraman.

The Application Review Committee’s decision is final as to which applicants will receive an invitation.

Ultraman Canada 2010 Application Kit is now available. Click on the Ultraman Canada Guidelines & UMC Applicaton buttons on the left for detailed information.

*NEW ULTRAMAN CATEGORY!

So, you’re hungry for the challenge, but don’t quite have your head wrapped around the idea of doing the entire Ultraman distance?!!

In 2007, Ultraman Canada introduced the Team category.

Each Relay Team is made up of either 2 or 3 members, each with a designated discipline or leg. There are no substitutions and each designate must complete their portion or stage of the event within the time frames applicable to the entire event. The 2 members of the team not racing will be the support team for the athlete designated to complete their particular discipline. All other rules of the event apply to the relay team.
A great way to get a taste for the ultra-distance race!
